I interpreted Rae’s posting as stating if none of our ENT providers have viewed pt prior to and pt is IP/observation standing, we can bill 99221-99223 for initially ENT evaluation and after that if One more ENT inside our observe rounds/sees that pt before discharge day, we would bill 99231-99233 subsequent care codes.
